The new Google Trend tool shows some interesting trends in Cyclocross interest. The Belgians really like their cross. The US is a fairly solid solid second with Canada third. That surprises me:
In the US, the Northwest and Colorado lead from California in interest. Weak interest in the Northeast is surprising. The only other surprise is Madison, WI:

Easy to see where your interest is these days! Can't say that I blame you...
It's been that way all year. Just one more month to go.

Gonna be at Longmont this weekend?
No, between cross training and two weeks in France, I would be pretty useless. I haven't even put my road bike back together since the trip. I've even got BK shopping for a cross frame on Chuck's Bikes.

I think that the N.E result is probably pretty skewed as there are really well known listserves and sites for news and info so that would greatly reduce the # of searches. Especially with N.E. being a small geographic area, and so many people really active we all pretty much know each other at least to say Hi. It's a pretty tight community here. Bill C

Nah, it's not that. The results are weighted wrt the size of the local population. Your cycling community, strong as it is, is not large compared to the general population.

I'm in Florida and it looks like this year we have something worth calling a "season." It'll start in October and end sometime probably in February, but it'll be an honest to goodness season with at least two series and some other races. I am freeking stoked.
