Cyclocomputer on a Budget

All the mail order companies have in house brands that are pretty good. If you don't care too much about name brands, they're you choice to get the most bang for your buck. Pricepoint and Supergo even has ones with a wieless HRM for that price range. Hope this helps.

if youre trying to get the best value skip the wireless run the lil wire its no big deal and without the extra battries cheaper in th long run too

Check out the Cat Eye Astrale 8. It is very simple to use and has a great readout . It was less than $50 with cadence. It has been through thunderstorms without incedent.

I tried cheap and wireless- see my review of the Sette wireless computer in the equipment reviews section. After that didn't work out, I returned it and bought a Sigma BC1600 wired computer for a few dollars less. What a difference! The Sigma unit is so much better designed and built - from the characters on the display to the handlebar and sensor mounts. It is a really well thought out design.

Do yourself a favor and get a quality unit up front.

Ditto on the Cateye Astrale 8. I have one on each of my bikes & can't be any happier. 😄

BTW the wires never get in the way.
