That cyclist was a criminal, and it's on video. The driver may have been a jerk, but vandalism isn't the appropriate response.
-
That was shameful criminal behavior! The cyclist should be punished.
-
Can't wait for the follow up post where the cyclist gets nailed into a lamppost or some other item of street furniture by that driver...
It's idiots like this that alienate motorists... Them and Critical Mass riders.
-
Yup, that cyclist was/is an asshat.
-
Seems a bit uncalled for to me.

Yeah, the dumbest thing any cyclist can do is get in a confrontation like that. The enraged driver apparently slowed and backed down, but some wouldn't be so cool after a rider breaks their mirror off. Using a car to take out a bike is so quick and easy, I'm surprised the driver didn't do it in this case. Apparently this occurred in the UK, where cyclists actually have the protection of law on their side: around here the incident likely would have ended much differently for the cyclist. My advice would be: don't to this to a pickup driven by a proud southern man, ever.
-
This was the opposite of a confrontation, pull some chickenshit nonsense and run.
I would advise against any sort of escalation unless one is willing to ride it all the way to the end... two of the many possible destinations being a hospital bed, or a jail cell.

Well anyone who thinks that revenge is the way is wasting their life. Criminal behavior leads to dead ends for them because no one wants to deal with someone like this accept the cops. Two wrongs doesn't make a right. Swampy1970 is talking about karma. It's like gravity you can't escape it. If someone does something wrong to you and you take revenge. The kick back is ten fold. It will be ten times worse than what you did in your revenge. It is something to witness because it wild. I always say to myself let's see what happens to this one. Mostly I know before hand because as they dig their own trench thinking it will make things better to even the score.
