I was witness to a cyclist nearly get run over by a Subaru today. Twas
a damn close call.
It was at a set of lights in Fremantle, the Subaru was coming along
South Terrace and had a green light (had been green for a while), the
cyclist came from Parry Street came to a near stop at a red light then
decided to continue through. I don't know if he saw the Subaru which
had its headlights on but he ran a the red regardless.
There was a lock up of brakes and a serve of horn, the cyclist gave the
Subaru the bird and rode off down the road.
I was the driver of the Subaru.
So to the knob on a blue Avanti road racer with tri-bars that was
riding through Fremantle today, sadly I think haven't taken the AIS
death as a mediating factor when you ride on the road.
It is cyclists like you that [censored] the motoring public off. When you
start to follow the rules of the road, they might actually show some
courtesy to us law-abiding cyclists.
