  1. I heard a snippet on the radio this morning that a bike was hit on Adelaide
avenue. No complete story and it may be completely false but has anyone
heard anything? I wasn't on the bike this morning due to a sick baby at
home but that's my route to work and there are a few hairy spots along the
    way.

Heard it on 666 as I was riding the other way.
Must have been behind me so north of the Mint.
~5mins later ambulance, lights, siren heading that way.

Hey, you noticed that black cylinder thru the stone pavers
just south of the Cotter overexit ? An obscured WARNING label.
AndreS.au ===> Confusion depends on knowledge.

  3. Hope the rider is OK. Heard it was the Caruthers St exit/entry ramp but not
sure if it was north or southbound. No mention on local news since.

Yeah, I've seen that black thingy. Looks like an unexploded bomb! I've
seen a few around and thought they must have something to do with power
    cable access or the like.

That's what I thought I heard, Adelaide Ave, northbound, 1 lane blocked
but I saw nothing when I went thru there, and the ambo kept going too.

  5. Had a good look this morning on thew way in. There's car tyre skid marks at
the off-ramp to Carruthers, north-bound on Adelaide (really Yarra Glen
there). The skid marks go almost across the green lane and would suggest
the car was in the wrong (if this is the place where the accident happened).
No other news though, so I hope all is well. No bike debris apparent.

Another report on 666 that a bus had hit a bike on "Belconnen Way" by the CSIRO.
Just a broken down car at the end of the buslane with an urban services light truck.
Possibly a crank caller trying to blame traffic congestion on cyclists?
