I realized it was fake when I read the "third wheel" thing.
No way the UCI would take such a rational and well-thought-
    out action.

I actually called a buddy of mine about the marco cloning

  5. Oh come on! There are so many clues it is ridiculous. In the
past they really tried to slide some stories in and when too
many people got suckered I guess they decided to be a bit
    more obvious.

That doesn't say much good about you.

I'm sure that you NEVER fell for anything in your

Surprised he didn't tell you to "go clone yourself".

Hmm, I dunno. If you are aware that it is pretty much not
possible then it is easy to identify as a joke.

Of course I have. There were even a few times that it
happened and I realized how lame I was to even take it
seriously. Why can't you see how obvious this one was?
Anyhow, thanks for giving the rest of us something to laugh
at. The article was not really funny to me but the thought
of you taking it seriously is hilarious.

"Special Edition Cycling News for April 1, 2004"

When I got to the Pantani story. I think the reason we get
sucked in is because it's not April 1 when we read it.
Australia is across the dateline! It's still March 31 when
    we read it here.
