I recently bought a pair from performancebike.com. Received 'em quickly and was quite satisfied. I don't know that I'd normally order shoes of any kind online; I think I'd prefer to try them on first. But in this case I was ordering a second pair of shoes exactly like ones I already had, so it worked out okay.

I'd recommend trying the shoes on at a local shop before you order them. Just to make sure they fit. Bike shoes vary a lot because there are manufacturers from all over the world and their sizing methods seem to be very different from one another.

If you're going to utilize the services of a bike shop, get assistance from their employees, and try on shoes from their inventory, at least have the decency to support the shop and buy your shoes there.

I see your point. But even if you can get the exact same shoes for nearly half the price online? I just can't see it.
