[censored] this makes a.b look mild. We gotta advertise to improve our
standard of nutbags. Ed and Roger just don't measure up against a real pro.

And the use of words like "emboldened" is just plain cromulent in my opinion, and does nothing to embiggen the writer.

Remember, "be alert, not alarmed". Now where did I put that terrorism
hotline number. Oh, no! Someone's taken my fridge magnet.

what the hell is a "poltroon" ?!?!?!?!?
sounds horrible yet, tasty and nasty all at the same time, great word, whatever it means.

A despicable, lazy coward.
One of those classic phrases from the 18th century, would fit right in to
Jane Austen's 'Pride & Prjudice' or an Emily Bronte saga
Cheers

What's mildly intriguing, is looking at the short time btw the posts. Poor bugger was working himself into a right royal tantie. Also look at other links to cyclotouriste's online/imaginary persona.

I thought it was all imaginary but then I saw the link about the cycle
trip where two people had ridden briefly with this guy until he left. Do
you reckon he's invented them as well?

This was hysterical!
Is it a good time to ask if there are any folk out and about in the
Kensington/Flemington/Footscray area who might be looking for a regular
riding companion? Preferably mornings, but sometimes after work is ok.
Anybody know of any clubs/coaches/inspiration along the lines of get
your butt onto the bike locally that aren't focussed on racing? (I was
hiding under the bed when competitive streaks were being handed out.)
Seriously, I've got an attack of lazy [censored] and my trusty commuter is
gloating that she is the only bike getting any attention in the house
:-/
cheers,
ali

Some mates of mine live in Kensignton and ride everywhere and they
don't race.

comrade!....visited land of the Rus for Dec99/Jan2000 (Y2K dadadadada!!)
bottom line then was you had to either go on an organised tour or get invited, you needed the visa before you get there and must have pre-paid accommodation, (on arrival) they need a list of all your gizmos ( so you dont sell em) and how much cash you are taking in( checked when you leave too-hoping youve spent it all).....I was last in St Pete...lots of ATMs to get rubles, lots of 7-11 type stores, great markets and tall svelte Rus ladies in stilletos walking icy pavements with penache, ( I had Blundies and was on my butt more than I chose to remember- even more so when sober!!-go figure!!), but if you take dollars, make sure notes are new and not marked in anyway, cos the Bureau d'Change will tell you to Nic(olas) off!...
fly in from Frankfurt, boat in from Scan.... or enter from Talinn....
and if you make it...try (all the colours of) Baltica Beer....
and watch out for Russian Women (Valkyrie-esque) on horseback (bareback too) riding full gallop down icy Nevski Prospect on New Years...( that is after they toss you in the gulag and let you out in mid winter...hah!!!!)
June White Nights are the best...enjoy!!
cheers
