Hey folks: I'm fairly new into cycling and have spent the last riding season cycling back and forth to work (a 30km round trip) . Unfortunately, old man winter is kicking in and I find myself unable to ride much anymore. I don't want to lose my built up stamina, and want to use my stationary bike in the basement over the winter to at least keep moving. I was wondering if anyone could recommend to me a good cycle training, motivational video, to help me get over the ho hums while pedaling stationary . I have seen some interesting videos on the internet that show you places like yellowstone national park or British Columbia, done in a format to see what you would see if you were really riding there. Anyone have any favorites or suggestions? The idea of a computrainer seems a little out of my league just yet; maybe next year. Until I hear from someone, I'm just grinding gears for now. Jim😕

Jim😕I've been using the Spinervals training videos. I too am limited to training indoors through most of the winter.
Spinervals offer decent interval workouts ranging in length from 45 minutes to 2 hrs (a 3hr workout will soon be available). I find the music on the videos to be annoying-- my wife says they sound like bad [censored] movies -- but the videos keep me focused, and once I put in the machine, I find myself obligated to complete the workout.
So far, I like them, and I would definitely recommend them.

I too use the Spinervals training video (1.0 - 5.0). I live in CA. but I still use my indoor trainer a lot because it gives me a good short quality workout. I would recommend getting some of the tapes. I presonally like the 3.0 (lots of interval and tempo workout)
