  1. Wondering if there is now a surfaced cycle path/route all the way down
the A9. Specifically the section between Blair Atholl and Dalwhinnie
were there looks to be no alternative minor roads.

    Thanks,
    Eoin

Covered quite recently: Google Groups advanced search should dig up the
    thread...

  3. My apologies, I did do a search before I posted but didn't find that
    specific piece of information.

Topic heading for the most recent thread was "Drumochter Pass Sustrans
Route" so a search under Dalwhinnie or Blair Athol may not have found
    it.

Anyway - the answer is "yes". Blair Atholl to Dalwhinnie is covered by
minor roads and a cycle track which runs parallel to the A9 through
    Drumochter Pass.

  6. Ok, we hit the A9 at Dalnacardoch and rode the cycle path as far as
Dalwhinnie. We were both on road bikes, it was ok but more suited to
chunkier tyres. Most of it has a coating of fine gravel and there are
one or two bits where we had to avoid broken glass but for the most
part it was all right. It does go up and down a fair bit and has lots
of wee bridges. Got one puncture which wasn't that big a surprise. It
was a relief to get back on the road at Dalwhinnie, where we continued
    on to Laggan.
