For the purposes of cycle computers, its just the diameter that you need to enter. Is there just a 26" setting? They don't work on a exact science, all they do is count the time between the pulses from the magnet. The computer works out he circumference of the wheel from the diameter and knows how far the bike travels per pulse. The difference from tyre depth should be negligible....

With my cycle computer what I had to do was:-

Draw a chalk mark on the ground

Starting at the valve wheel the bike in a straight line

Stop once the wheel has made one complete turn
(the valve should be back in the same position)

Make another chalk mark on the ground

Measure the distance between the two points using a tape measure
(With my cycle computer you had to enter the measurement in mm's)
