That is some hilarious stuff. Eating fat makes you fat. Talk about
trying to turn back the clock. Arent they passed that garbage yet??
Bunch of idiots. Lets all go back to low fat low fat low fat!!
Eating fat DOES NOT MAKE YOU FAT.

Every bio-chem textbook that I've read, and I have read quite a few,
have stated clearly in the first chapter or two that carbohydrates are
metabolized to fat. And when they talk about fat and protein
metabolism, they say that these two macro-nutrients are generally not
metabolized to fat, at least not easily, and not a lot of it, if any.

And when they get into the later chapters and talk about calories,
they seem to forget what they said in the earlier chapter about carbs.
All of a sudden, fat is twice as fattening as the same amount of carbs
and proteins are as fattening as carbs. And this is based on the math
of calories - proteins and carbs are 4 kcal/g and fat is 9 kcal/g. And
they all fail to see any contradiction here.

These bio-chem textbooks, and their advanced degree authors, do not
even recognize this silly paradox within their own pages. Which is
odd, since it is only the most very fundamental basis of human
    nutrition and weight management.

fat makes you fat just like simple sugars make you fat. concentrated
calories. most of us live very sedentary lives so we should be eating
fruit and vegetables . fat and sugar are too addictive. they should
be completely avoided unless you have a will of iron and can
moderated. myself, i think of simple sugar and fat as poison just as
an alcoholic should think of alcohol as a poison. I condemn (to
death)all those who encourage people to eat fat. Absolute madness.

Yes because when eating a stick of butter or lard it is so very easy
to overeat. Give me a break. Your adivce to completely avoid fat is
totaly absurd and even dangerous. My diet is no less than 60%
calories from fat and I have more lean body mass than ever in my life
with virtualy no body fat and that is WITHOUT eating less calories or
doing anymore exersize than I used to. In fact I do somewhat less.
Eating more calories as fat promotes weight loss and leaner body mass.
If you do not believe it simply do it and see for yourself. What I
do not eat in ANY amount are refined carbs like sugar and flower or
    liquid/hydrogenated vegetable oils.

Fat did not make the pre-contact eskimos fat. Nor did it make them
unhealthy. They ate a primarily fatty diet and it made them strong and
healthy. And you are also aware of the "paradoxes" where people eating
high fat, low-refined-carb diets have less obesity and less disease in
general, ie. french paradox, spanish paradox, mediterranean paradox,
etc. They are healthier in spite of the "paradox" of them eating a
    diet significantly higher in fats.

As long as the fat is not a fake, manufatured, stale, or hyrogenated
fat, it is most likely a healthy fat and it will NOT be the cause of
    obesity.

Bad fats include fake fats, grain fats, like canola, flax, etc.
Manufactured and hydrogenated fats are margarine and shortening.

Good healthy fats are fresh cream, butter, cheese and milk from
healthy grass-fed cows. Lard and tallow from healthy animals. Fresh
extra virgin Olive oils. Fish oils from freshly caught fish. We need
copious amounts of good, healthy, fresh fats for optimum health. And
it will not make us fat.

I am reminded of a cartoon with two large ladies having coffee and
cake and one says to the other "If everything is low fat why aren't
    we?".

Feel free to read any bio-chem book and read about fat metabolism,
    then read about carb metabolism.

  7. Eskimo survived on their diet but they also had a high incidence of wierd
diseases caused by eating their diet. For instance, such low calcium levels
that it would cause insanity in a few people.

Humans are capable of living off just about anything, that doesn't make it
    healthy.
