I am trying to find links/resources for custom chopper bicycles.
Specifically I am interested in a chopper that looks similar to a full
size motorized chopper (think American Chopper). I know a few
companies used to have websites but can't find them anymore...anybody
have any help? How about frames? Trying to locate some resources as
a friend has a chopper shop and wants to build me a chopper bicycle.
Thanks for the help.

The problem with all this stuff is that they are not chopper bicycles,
they are bicycles that look like chopper motorcycles. A chopper
bicycle should be analogous to a motorcycle chopper by riffing off of
bicycle styling themes but it should not copy motorcycle chopper
styling.JP

Woo-hoo! Ultra-long-pointed, copper-plated-and-polished lugs!
Oops... what was the question?

that meet your criterion. Most chopper bicycles refer not only to
moto-choppers, but also to balloon-tire cruisers of the '50s and '60s,
which in turn sported motorcycle-inspired styling. Here are a couple of links to some decently original chopper bikes:

but they are not so much crafted as hacked together, and may not be
exactly what you are looking for. Chunk 666 are certainly upholding
the heart and soul of the bicycle chopper tradition, though.Chalo Colina
