Curves just opened less than a year ago in our small town. I thought about
joining, since they had a special discount for school employees at the time,
but I couldn't see spending that much money just for a 30 min. workout site
for me.
Do you have a YWCA or YMCA close by? It's more expensive, but depending on
what they have to offer, I think it's the better buy. Many of them have
childcare services, exercise classes, weight rooms, swimming pools, etc.,
plus activities and programs for the whole family. And a great place for
kids' parties, too.
We're dead broke right now or we'd join the one close to us. So, for now,
I'm out walking when I can.
