CSC is an american sponsered team with a danish coach (Bjarne Riis), staff, and about 1/2 the team and the off-american. Last year it was Tyler Hamilton. This year it is Bobby Juilch.
Last year CSC finished first in the team competition, and Hamilton finished fourth (or fifth), and they also snatched 3 stage victories. The year before jaja took the polkadot jersey and 2 stages. There was a real man!
What are your predictions for this year?

I think they will do pretty well again. With Ivan Basso as the new captain and Carlos Sastre they might have 2 riders in the top 10 of the Tour GC again.

It was Tyler's decision. Apparently, Phonak offered to build the entire team around him for the Tour. Hey, it worked for Lance..

It was more money and Oscar Sevilla is now on Phonak, but they have to get a wild card selection to make it in the tour. Maybe a little risky. CSC seemed to strive for stage wins while Tyler likes the idea of the whole team working for a single leader.
Maybe Bjarne Riis can bring the best out of Basso like he did Tyler and he can get a top five in the tour.
Basso, Jaschke, Jullich, Sastre, Pil...and a bunch of guys you have never heard about before. Say the names, Julian Dean? Bekim Christensen?
Riis gave Jaja a noble retirement for a noble man. He inspired Hamilton because people from Marblehead are not that different than people in Jylland, where Bjarne is from.
Will he also be the trainer to bring Bobby Jullich back to form?
Tafi went to Alessio, Nicolas Jalabert to Phonak and Dean to Credit Agricole. CSC added Michele Bartoli, Jens Voigt, Max Sciandri, Frank Hoj, and Fabrizo Guidi.
With this talent pool and Riis's ability to get the best out of his riders, there is no reason not to believe that CSC will be an even better team than last year. A team that will be able to get results in both classics and grand tours.
