    Cycling superstar Lance Armstrong has fuelled rumours he is engaged to singer girlfriend Sheryl Crow - after allowing hotel staff in Paris to call her his fiancee.

    According to reports, the 32-year-old proposed to the rocker after winning his record sixth Tour de France at the weekend.

    Although Crow's label Interscope admit they have heard the rumours, the couple have refused to confirm or deny they are engaged, reports American news site PageSix.com.

    However their secret may have been let slip while they celebrated Armstrong's victory at the Hotel de Crillon - staff referred to Crowe as his "fiancee" and the sportsman failed to correct them.

    Probably one of those, wow, I won, NOTHING CAN GO WRONG attitudes. Let's go to Vegas and get married. Spontaneous

    Ummmmmmmmmmmm, no .. sorry all the press is wrong cos I AM DATING LANCE (he just doesn't know it yet!).
