Not too difficult to pick that scenario. Nys, Wellens, Vannoppen,
Vanthourenhout, Vervecken, Aernouts, Commeyne, Jacobs.
Even the reserves if they race could be top ten, Verstraeten & Van Nuffel.
I'll say 7 out of the top 10 will be Belgian.

Agreed, but 5 just seems too easy. How many times have 5 Belgians finished
in the top 10 at Worlds? Without looking back at results I'd be willing to
guess just about every time in the past 6-8 years.

I figure the chance of Belgian winning is about 90% so I'm hoping for a top ten for Page and for Mourey, France's new national champ. He was outperforming Gadret at the Noummay. And I'd love to see Franzoi in the top 10 too... Throw in Groenendaal and a Czech, and there's still room for 5 belgians in the top ten.

I should have booked a hotel sooner... prices in Saarbruecken doubled over the last three weeks.

Surely Nys can't blow it again, he must be World Champ this year

He's on top of the 'cross world, that's certain. This season has been
all about Sven. I just hope he manages to get it together for Worlds this
year.

I'll be pretty surprised if there's less than six Belgians in the top
ten at Worlds. Groenendaal has been kind of erratic this season, plus (as
you mentioned) the course doesn't really suit him that well. Pospisil might
do well.

I think today's results at Hoorgeheide are represtative of what we could see
at Worlds. Take out Boom because he'll be winning the U23 race next week and
substitute Franzoi, Dlask, Pospisil, Gadret or another Belgian.
