I might check it out... there are two of us but I'm still kind of used
to cooking for a family of four so I usually make two meals at a time
- the only problem then is that my husband hates eating leftovers so I
have to have them for lunch!

It seemed more like a demand to join a group rather than a
request for people who are interested in cooking to visit the
group. Cooking for one isn't the problem, the manner in which the
request to check it out was made was what was offensive to some.

The words were not demanding or offensive. It was the all caps
lettering that set you guys off.

Didn't really set me off. I found it rude becaue all caps = demands and
shouting. Since I cook for 4-6 people, it didn't really interest me to
view the site.

I never have and will never learn, how to cook for one person. I agree
Goomba, freeze the leftovers. We have gone from a 2 person to a 4 person
(plus whoever the kids drag in) and back to 2 person household (when the
kids went away to school).

I have nothing personal against the site, Nancree. I simply have no
interest in recipes geared for one person. I didn't say anything
critical about it, only that there are two of us, and I don't cook for
1.

You might find it interesting.

I agree with you Wayne. I already belong to too many of the Yahoo groups
as it is. Since I don't cook for 1 there is no reason to join. Others may
very well enjoy it though, especially the singles and perhaps college
students.

Have I apologized for something here and missed it?? I think anyone
looking to drum up business for a new venture ought to be nicer about
it, instead of the demand that people go to their site. It was badly put.

Me too! We've gone from 2 to 3 to 5 and now back to just the 2 of us! At
the moment it's no problem cuz hubby takes the leftovers to work or a meal
but he retires in 2 weeks! I need to learn a new way to cook.
