Converting Campy 9 to 10

Other then the plastic insert for the front derail, you have it all. The rear derail will work
just fine.

The spline is the same for Campy 9 and 10. Possible issue, if you got an 11 - X for 10 speed and had
a 12 - X for 9 speed, then the lockring might that came with the 10 speed cassette might not fit if
your Campy hub is like 1998 vintage. Then, you'll need to get the right 11t lockring, too.

Relax. Except for a few very early hubs, Campagnolo hubs accept either nine or ten cassettes

Am I reading this right....my 9 speed drailleur can work with the 10 cogs as long as the shifter is
changed? Also pls. say a little more about the plastic insert for the front derailleur. Since it's
not truly indexed, I'd assume it would work as is. Thanks!

You can also use your Racing-T cranks, only things you'll need is 10 speed right Ergo (or change
shiftdisk to 10 speed), chain and cassette. So you have everything you need.

Thread is wrong if you have a Campagnolo 9s freehub body now. If aluminum and Campagnolo from 1997
and later, you CAN put a Campagnolo 10s cogset on there, no modification required.

Also don't need 10s specific parts, like rear der and front der for a 10s conversion. If the right
lever you had was 1999 or later 9s, it also could be converted to 10s.

No plastic insert for the triple and not needed for the double. It was there to protect the pins of
the permalink, which is gone from the Campagnolo line-up, good thing also.

Others will advise on what works in practice.

Purely for info, 9-speed pulley wheel width spacing is 0.4mm wider (actual wheels are the same).
2001+ 9-speed rear derailleurs move by the correct amount per click with 10-speed shifters. There is
a slight error with pre 2001 9sp models.
