I quickly looked at the Specialized web site and to my surprise, I couldn't
find any manuals to the bike computers they sell. Perhaps you have done the
same.

Just do a rollout. If you've got a tiled floor, it's easy to roll the wheel
in a straight line and measure the distance (in centimeters, which is what
your computer will want). Just look straight down from the top and have the
valve lined up with a spot on the floor, and then, with some pressure on the
handlebars, roll forward until the valve is once again at that same spot.
You'll get an amazingly-accurate calibration that way.

I just looked and Specialized appears to have pulled the cyclometer manual
PDFs. The print was always so stupid small that I've always used the PDF.
Their website is way to cute to be useful but I'm surprised they would
remove a couple of Mb worth of manuals. Sucks when marketing can't spell
customer service.

I just used the "Contact Us" link to send them an e-mail asking for an
online copy of the manual for an unspecified Specialized computer. I'll
let you know what I hear back. Who knows? Maybe they'll put the
manuals back online.

If you mean the wheel circumference value to enter into the computer,
I've always used the formula:

(twice the tyre width + 622)*pi

which in your case would be [(2*35)+622]*3.14159 or 2174mm.

I got a reply from Specialized. The manuals are well hidden.

Go to Specialized.com, choose Help & Support, then Interactive FAQ, then
question 10. There are several manuals in PDF format there. I hope one
is for your computer!

I got a reply from Specialized. The manuals are well hidden.

Go to Specialized.com, choose Help & Support, then Interactive FAQ, then
question 10. There are several manuals in PDF format there. I hope one
is for your computer!

Got to love it. I wonder what the thought process was that placed the
computer manuals in "Interactive FAQ" - Question 10 instead of under the
menu item "Manuals & Tech"

I agree. My experiences with two different computers proved that the mfgrs'
literature re: set-up were wrong, and significantly so, for my particular
wheels. Rollout is child's play and dead-on.
