  1. Weighing 200lbs riding a rockhopper, i would guess theres more than your legs vibrating.
You should get some girls pantyhose; That way you wouldnt need to shave, you will have your compression and a nice tan.

    Lol

That's nearly as silly as riding in a weightlifting suit.....

  3. I was wondering if you could just wear your swimmers compression shorts under a pair of cycling shorts? You'll get the compression you're after and the padding of the cycling shorts. Think it would work?

Sure it will work, and turn your nuts into burger meat. Go for it!

What does that mean? I weigh 200lbs and I'm 6'2". Not much jiggling.

If nobody else is using them then Lance is not at a competative disadvantage.

Remember. A lot of people won multiple tours without aerobars on their TT bikes, but when LeMond used them he got the advantage and won...

I am not saying that I think they would nesisarily help. Just don't dismiss it so quickly...

watching the olympics most of the athletes seem to be wearing the least clothing possible ; only in the pool do you see full , or mostly semi , body suits - and most of these leave the shoulders , back and arms uncovered : strange as these are the muscles that do most of the work .
could it be that you´ve fallen for the marketing hype ?

ps ; what happens in water is different from being on dry land - ask any fish . 🙄

I have been watching the olympics too, compression socks (over the calf) were being work by several of the womens marathon competitors...

Really the only places that you have problems with muscle vibration is the calves and triceps. But the calves are the big one. anyways, i got a pair of Under Armour compression shorts to wear under my cycling shorts. Much better.

Popovych wore them in the Giro TTs.

Hey if it works for you ...........

I can see why they might be needed in the water as the s.g. of water and flesh is very similar and you do notice more muscle movement in the water than on dry land ( been watching the ladies diving - 3 mt springboard ) but cycling you only seem to notice vibration on pavè or mountainbikeing . Here your problem is keeping cool and we´d ride naked if it would help  - it´s not recommended , I tried it on the cycletrainer at home and it´s uncomfortable and slippy ( 32 C and two fans blowing a gale ) , and in the sun you´d burn to a crisp .

  12. [lang=pl]A ja zacząłem używać ostatnio kompresyjnych triathlonywch szortów CEPa.
Good stuff!
Śmiało mogę polecić każdemu. Cena niemała ale to nie produkt na jeden sezon tylko lata.[/lang]

Being a swimmer I'm well away of the horrible effects that happen when your musles are allowed to just flap around. So I have a problem, my cycling shorts don't have the kind of support around my main muscle groups that my swim suits do, but my swim suits don't have the padding that my cycling shorts do.

Are there any companies that make a cycling short that is specifily designed with pressure and compression in mind?

Does anybody else have any idea what I'm talking about?

I think i'd look like a damn fool ridding around town in my Speedo Sharksuit

    Hi TmSpectre ,

A cycling and multisport buddy of mine has a pair of compression triathlon shorts from a company who call themselves Zoot . Their website address is www.zootsports.com and they do a nice range of gear including cycling specific stuff . I don't know if you've tried them or not .

    Cheers
