  1. OT, although the ending is moderately On...

Last night I had a dream. Seems like the aliens from both the first
War of the Worlds movie, with Gene Barry and the aliens from the
second, recent WoW have re-invaded earth. Except, since the two
failures have exhausted their resources, they invade in school buses.

So who should show up to help repel the invaders except Kurt Russell,
complete with bayonet in one hand and a pistol in the other and
covered with bandoleers, except even in the dream I can tell all the
    ammo is the wrong size.

Any, lots of chasing around. I don't have any weapon, but find that
they aren't real dedicated this time around and if you shove some
other person their way, they seem to go away. Kurt isn't killing any
aliens either, just running around in a semi-crouch, waving the
bayonet and pistol, but he also isn't giving up other human beings, so
    I can't say much.

Then Kurt and I go to see Chuck Norris for help. I must have read too
many of those web sites, because Chuck refuses to help - aliens that
invade on buses aren't worth his effort. Kurt is pretty much
speechless, but even Kurt Russell doesn't pick a fight with Chuck
    Norris.

And here's the On Topic part. We get back and are informed that the
aliens are arguing over which group is allowed to invade, so until
they make a decision, we aren't allowed to fight or resist (which in
my case, has been pretty much limited to shoving other humans into the
claws of the invaders). So Kurt and I end up in some room drinking a
lager - good color, deeper taste than most, not bad at all - with him
cussing up a storm at the aliens and Chuck Norris, but unable to do a
    thing, except wait.

That's when I woke up and honest to God, my first thought was - now
pro cycling is running alien invasions!

BTW, in my defense, the people I gave up to the aliens weren't anyone
    that I recognized.

Curtis, perhaps you should not have removed the tin foil covering from
    your helmet. =]

Have to ask Kurt Russell. What chance would I have with him in the
room? And he had the bayonet.

Probably had more to do with the Da Vinci Chianti. And I ain't giving
it up, not even for a bunch of aliens.

Actually had a Chinese instructor that wore an aluminum soup pot on
his head - since he was more concerned with the Peoples Republic of
China tapping his brain than being controlled, perhaps the soup pot
    instead of tinfoil was appropriate.

Not something you would want to run in, though. Or run into.

That's only what he told you.
He was afraid someone would steal the pot.
