  1. I have stomach aches from flaxmeal and high fiber ... mouth sores from
walnuts.... and nausea from fresh Salmon. Do you see any commonality here,
or would you say that it's just these 3 separate items to avoid?

  2. I don't see a commonality. It makes me think about the old joke about a man
who complains to his doctor. He tells the doctor that it hurts to play the
piano. The doctor says: "Don't play the piano."

Eating flax seems unnatural to me. The whole fiber thing seems
questionable. Many can be regular by eating high fat.

Walnuts. How odd. You might experiment by running the walnuts though a
food processor, and eating them with a spoon. If you still have trouble,
    try pecans instead?

Nausea may be a sign of overeating. Might a smaller portion of salmon be
    better?

Well, how are you with chocolate, veggies, red wine and olive oil? : )

You might be being a bit enthusiastic with the flaxmeal - you have to walk
up the dose, and be very, very sure to drink a whole lot of water alongside
it. Without the liquid, it binds instead of lubricates...

No idea what the problem with the walnuts is. Try almonds?

Fresh salmon makes me feel like that too - OTOH, tinned salmon, fresh or
tinned tuna, seafood with a shell, and smoked fish of any description I find
delicious. YMMV - there's always fish oil capsules in a pinch!

Flax, walnuts, and salmon are high in omega 3 fats....are you suggesting a
problem with those? Have you tried some flax or fish oil capsules to see if
you have problems with those, too?

Ah you may have hit on something here... I was eating hot flaxmeal cereal
which was very very thick, and drank no appreciable fluid with it.
I was wondering about the Omega 3 commonality, and if this made any sense?
I can eat pretty much anything other than the 3 items I listed.... salmon,
walnuts and flaxseed. I do eat other nuts, canned tuna, and veggies as
    well.

I've gotten mouth sores from walnuts since I was a kid and lately too
much flax/borage oil makes me nauseaus, so you may have something there.
I do fine with a bowl of hot flax cereal each day, though.
