Color Blind Bicyclists..

Uh, were these color blind cyclists looking at vertical lights or those
damned horizontal ones. Everybody knows that the top is red (stop)
and the bottom is green go. Even horizontal is yellow in the middle in all
cases.
Anybody with a brain should know that if it goes to yellow the next thing
will be red, and in reverse it goes from red to green with no yellow
light. Two blocks of that and it should be fixed in even the densest of
heads.
Maybe some people really are to dumb to ride, kind of like some politicians
would never pass a GED high school equivalency test with their sub par IQ.
Money and a big toothy smile get some real doorknobs elected.
OK, rant off.
Just assume the other guy is an idiot, becuase he might really be one.

Lately, it's become quite apparent to me that there are as many careless
bicycle riders as there are car drivers and they seem to present almost as
much danger to me. I'm not particularly fast so if they pass me to run a
red light that's not much of a problem, but I have had to slow going through
green lights for cyclist running a red light on the cross street and for
cyclist going the wrong way. And when I have to use the multi-use trails
they often pass on blind curves and hills. I suppose one just has to be
aware that they are careless people operating every kind of vehicle and also
careless people walking and operate as cautiously and safely as reasonably
possible.

I'm getting sick and tired of drivers who don't realize
cyclists can make legal left turns at traffic lights from
the left-most lane, same as drivers do. Including yielding
to oncoming traffic, and in the process maybe holding-up
traffic behind a little. Same as cars do.

Same here. I'm coming home from the local donut shop,
properly & lawfully hanging a left from 33rd onto Main.
Some driver behind me got PO'd because I was yielding to
oncoming traffic before I made my move and he yelled,
"[something something] you f***ing idiot!" I responded
by calling him a worthless pig vulva (using more vulgar
terminology), hoping to get something sporting going, but
as usual the driver was unwilling to finish what he started.

Drivers can be such whining, vocal chicken-[censored] who'll

Well, he did say the light was busy, not the intersection. OTOH, if
the light is busy doing something other than what it is supposed to, I
think it is reasonable to roll right on through.

OP was a cyclist.

Many drivers who complain about cyclists "being on the road"
claim to be erstwhile cyclists. The kind who drive their bikes
to the nearest car-free trail or levee-top and putter along for
three or four miles.

I suspect a lot of 'em are cabbies. I can't prove it, though.
