I have an acquaintance who is selling a late 80s to early 90s Colnago Techno (or Tecno) II Comp, w/ a Chorus group. I am considering buying it. I haven't seen it yet. I'm trying to get some background info about it, like what tubing, angles, etc. I've Googled & Yahooed till blue in the face. Could someone please direct me to a source of this info? I could only find data about the newest carpet fiber frames on Colnago site then it went into Italian. For starters, is there a Colnago by that model name?

Technos was the fatter, shaped tubed cousin of the Masterlight. Nice steel frameset with chrome lugs.

No kidding. At Interbike one year Ernesto at the Colnago symposium said, " no need for anything but a conventional 1 inch headset and headtube"....welllllll, now 1 1/8inch and integrated...

You could try Maestro-uk, a great MO reseller of Colnago
I have a Colnago Tecnos bought in 1999 as the local shop was selling off its steel frames. Great frame! The frame geometry is identical to the "traditional" (non-sloping) Colnagos made today. Go to the colnago website and you will find a chart with the details. BTW, the aluminium Dream was created using the Tecnos's tube shapes. Both are great bikes to ride.
