I don't think those machines are a good idea in general, kitchen odors or
not.

When one of our $15 Mr.Coffee machines bit it, we figured to splurge a bit
and bought one of the $250 Militas (or something), besides the timers it had
a basket for beans, would grind "fresh" and brew at whatever time it was set
to.

Between the beans and water sitting out in the open all night, it just
didn't make good coffee. Always tasted stale or flat.

So we're back to the $15 Mr.Coffee ones.

literally have no off switch and are always in some sort of heating/fire

I used to drink at least six cups a day, and 20 cups wasn't unusual. But
in the entire 18 months or so since I quit smoking, I've had three cups
of coffee. Coffee just goes with a cigarette.

Similar story here. But the weight ran my blood sugar up enough that I had
to hit a drug called Byetta that seems to be curtailing my appetite and
helping me lose weight. It's the kind of a drug you really really really
need a prescription plan (or a rich uncle) to use.

Last summer I returned to NYS via Massachusetts Rt2/Mohawk Trail (in my cage).
A couple miles before the summit overlooking North Adams I overtook a group of
bio-fueled two-wheelers on a Sunday ride. I followed them up and then most of
the way down, at a respectful distance of course. Seemed to make the trailing
rider nervous; she kept tossing her head to her left every 8-10 strokes, and
turned it even further (apparently to locate the cager she knew was there)
whenever I had drifted far to the inside of a curve, into her blind spot.
Watching the poetry of half a dozen pairs of pumping legs and wig-wagging bikes
to the summit was more entertaining than the music I carried; watching the
descent was surreal.

Actually, it HAS been rather tubular lately - at least at
well-exposed, south-facing beaches. 🙂 🙂

SoCal: One of the few places in the world where you can see both a

You got me, there was no actual coffee involved. I changed it, since
scooping up bird [censored] and uneaten food off the bottom of the cage, and
feeding to the critters outside probably isn't nearly as familar to

How'd you quit, Clifto?

I did Welbutrin XL the last time. It "seemed' tp work Ok. I mean, I quit for
quite awhile, but relapsed.

The two side effects I had were poor sleep, and a constant hyper-libido. I
was waking #4 up about every other night for sex, and then again the
following day.

Doc suggested chantix to me this time but the side effect stories have got
me pretty well scared out of that.
