What is the opinion on this plan to LC and effective to jump start???

While it may be convenient for some to live on shakes and suppliments, I
don't beleive that it will promote keeping the weight off in the long term.
If you have to think about what food to eat and when, as well as retrain
yourself on how to cook it a certain way, after a while it becomes a
lifestyle change that can be maintained. However if you're having a shake or
a bar instead of the actual meal, how will that help you to make the right
choices once the weight is off? If you swap over to normal shakes and
muesli/candy bars after reaching goal, you won't stay there long!
Herbalife also promotes thermogenic supplement drinks to have in conjunction
with the protein shakes... The consensus reached when thermogenic
supplements were discussed in this group some time ago, was that it was best
to stay well away from them as the side effects outweighed the benefits.

I believe you can find it in the US as Devon Cream...

I can't help you with the NYC retailers but I found a local (greator
Boston) outlet that carries several versions of clotted and devon
cream. Here's the link:
