  1. What is the best way to clean a Gortex Jacket?

Would it be OK just to put it in the washing machine at low
temp using bilogical washing tablets? Or does it require
    some special cleaning technique?

bio or non-bio isn't really releavnt. Best thing to do is
use a pure soap like Nikwax tech-wash. Detergents work by
reducing the surface tension and letting water penetrate
more easily to wash out dirt, which is very good for
removing dirt but not much good for a waterproof where any
    residues may be left!

    DO NOT use detergents!

I use NikWax Tech Wash, and you only need a fraction of the
amount they suggest for a small wash.

I'd agree with that (whatever Gore say on their website). If
    it needs reproofing try:

    lsr.gb.comlsr.gb.com

    30 quid per jacket!
