  1. I've recently taken up regular bike riding again. That is I got my bike in May and have been quite consistant about gettin out 3 - 7 times a week. I've gone from feeling like a 2 mile ride might just kill me to doing a 12 mile ride and then looking for excuses to go for another ride - the SAME day:eek:. So, apparently, I really like biking.

Every year in my family we say that we will cut back at Christmas and only get gifts for the children - never happens, the stack of gifts just gets larger. The pressure is on - people are asking me what I want for Christmas. I'm hoping you can help me and perhaps other people here. What are some handy, reasonably inexpensive or at least good value bike related gear that I as a novice might not think of?

I've already got one idea after biking home this morning - gloves with fingers😉 . It was close to 0 C.

Oooh, ooooh, I know this one.

    New grips.
    Sun glasses with changeable lenses.
    Spare tubes.
    A chain cleaning device.
    A new pump.
    A wicking layer top.
    A pair of cycling shorts.
    More gloves.
    A rucksack.
    A bladder for your rucksack.
    Lights.
    A puncture repair kit.
Leeches (patches that don't need glue)
    A new tyre.
A map of your local area.
    A new lock.

Well, that's my Christmas list anyway. 😄

  3. I want the 340 million dollar lotery prize .... now 😠

So I can pay for all the things I dont need, in order to get rid off them 😄

  4. I am hoping for a trainer and that's all.

  5. Wow this is a good list I'll have to copy and paste this one!😄

  6. Cycling computer night light - this is the most useful gadget I've bought in a while. It allows me to see my HRM and cyclocomputer at all times in the dark. What a great buy for $7! It's not bling, but it is worth every penny.

    yaaaaaaaaaaaa 😄

  8. You guys are fairly helpful - Thanks

How about reflective vests, warm ear muffs , etc.?

  9. Isn't that always the way? The wishes are coming this year. Reminds me of when a you are small and you wish on a star. The christmas wish list. Thinking of the sleigh with santa flying through the sky at night. Believing this was happening while you sleep.
I'm going to tell santa to take care o a few things that don't require any gifts to be delivered. Its already underway.

  10. I think I would prefer a gift check which I can use later should I already have decided on what to buy for myself. I usually end up getting what I do not really like because I never got to think about it

  11. To start with, I want a new bike 🙂 Now we can get to more serious subject. I really need a job to fix my life and leave the place where I live now. It is a serious wish because in Serbia you need a genie to find a job. I hope that after finding a job some things will be easier and some smaller plans could be achieved but mostly I wish good health to all people me included.

  12. I had nothing in my Christmas wishlist except spending time with my family and relatives. Although a pair of spare tires would have been fine.
