The first pic is of a 'bucket' of prawns we had a little while back when
some friends came over for 'sundowners'.

The second pic is an orange and almond cake, with orange syrup and shavings
on top. Just finished the last piece of it today :-)

The rest is the pudding. Which will be finished cooking in 4 hours time.

With the amount of booze that went into it, it should taste great too :-)

I don't know if I have it anymore.... but I used to have a covered
mold to steam xmas pudding in. This is the first time I've heard of
    boiling one.

My family pudding recipe is a steamed one that you don't cook in
advance... mama taught me to steam it in a large metal mixing bowl,
because actual pudding basins are never large enough for a crowd. It's
    oh-so-good...

Boiling a pudding wrapped in cloth is pretty conmon in the UK, although
    many do use pudding molds.

Kitchen smelt like an Arabian spice den whilst it was cooking :-)

(Not that I'd know what an Arabian spice den smells like, but that's the
    image it conjured up :-)

The cake was a definite hit with the SO, especially as it was hot on the
heels of the Lemon Youghurt cake that I had made preeviously.

i'll dig up the recipe for the Orange and Almond cake and post it sooninsh.

My 'pudding mold' was my second largest mixing bowl!!

The recipe is dead easy. It's up on the rfc Tips 'n Tricks site.

I'll take a couple more pics when I have to undo the string and dry the
    neck off.

Lovely. I might make it for my family, though I'm pretty sure I
myself won't like it (I really dislike the taste of alcohol, even
    cooked into things).
