Tim, I'm not sure yet if I'll be there on Sunday. I'm intending to do a long flat ride tomorrow to catch up on some k's, I've only done 36km total this week , so I'll see how I pull up after that.
Anyone interested in a midweek BR? Say maybe Tuesday? Monday I'm going to the cricket so thats out for moi.
A ride during the week'd be good. but I plan to drop the bike in at CW's to get all that creaking and pinging looked at and some bearings replaced on Tuesday - I'd hope to get it back that arvo if there's nothing much the matter (got a feeling a new drivetrain isn't far away). Have fun at the cricket - may have to curb all those racist remarks you're always coming out with, tho 😉

I might be. The forecast for Tuesday at Benalla for the triathlon is 37 degrees. If that's the case I'll give it a miss and do a BR in the morning instead (then spend the day in front of the TV and air-con).

Ash
Scratch me for Sunday.
Rode to Anglesea and back, 237km 1685m, 25.8km/hr av speed. The wind today was bloody ridiculous, I was reduced down to 12km/hr along parts of Geelong Rd, basically had a SW headwind for the first 118 km. I reckon thats the equivalent of riding up a mountain. The return leg was alot easier, but of course the wind wasn't as strong.

Twoz GPL & myself yesterday (27.12.2005) starting out on the usual BR route. We met up @ Kew junction @ 07:00 & rolled through the official start point @ 07:21 but did bother stopping. It was the usual BR route out to St. Andrews then onto Kinglake. We both were suffering from lazy legs so no PB's up any of the climbs. 1st stop was Kinglake bakery & there was a mass of riders, so I had to wait for my coffee & a seat😠 One of GP's fellow Hawthorn clubbers rolled up looking worst for wear and had been 'purging' xmas spirit up the Kinglake climb:eek: There was no way my brain was going to let me turn around for another lap after getting back from this one, so the only way I was going to do 'the K's' today was to keep riding out. Then I had no choice but to ride em back. So it was down to Healesville & up Don rd. Fu*k I'm lovin' that climb @ the moment! 8.3km’s @ 6.1%. GOLD! I'm gona add it to cycle2max now that I’ve got a start and finish sorted. I really started noticing the heat after descending Kinglake with the highest recorded time via my bar mounted Polar being 40C in Greensborough.
