  1. I know you all read a lot of these daily but o well. I really am interested about getting into biking and wanna ride a several miles daily if I can. I'd like to get a lower end road bike to get started then later invest in a better bike. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I recommend that you go to a bike shop and let them know what your riding intentions are. They can steer you to the right bike and get you fitted. IMO a "lower end road bike" is in the $600-700 range. Any less than that and you may not really enjoy the riding experience as much. I've been down that road. If you think you're in it for the long haul and can afford it, consider getting the better bike now.
