This is double-talk for "We have not asked, and we don't want to
know what American distributors have done with their imported

Heck, what he said didn't even make any sense, anyway. That's

If I had to venture a guess, it's probably cheaper to import it than to buy

Thanks It's no surprise that some companies have no qualms about buying
(& profiting on) a cheaper product regardless of the lack of safety
assurance. And it is also no surprise, in the current political
environment, that the FDA would again look the other way while this
happens in just the same way it did with the Vioxx, Zelnorm and other
food & drug fiascos. To these people, Americans are all lab rats.
