I made some chimmi churri yesterday, and it is wonderful! Very spicy.
(it is similar to what Barb posted last week--she called it "Shoog".)
You can find it on the Internet. I used mint, flat-leaf parsley,
cilantro, 2 garlic cloves, 2 jalapenos (you could probably use crushed
red pepper flakes), 1/2 cup olive oil, 1/3 cup red wine vinegar, a bit
of salt. Whirr in food processor.
I first encountered it at a dinner where it was served with sliced
steak strips. Heavenly !! I used it with pork chops, and with scrambled
eggs, and even on a toasted English muffin. It would make shoe leather
taste good!!
Let me know what you think, and how you use it.

Let me know what you think, and how you use it.I love chimichurri sauce served with fried plantain chips. This is a
popular appetizer (often served in place of tortilla chips and salsa) in
many South American restaurants in Houston. I like Michael Cordua's
version (parsley, oregano, garlic, white vinegar, olive oil, and s/p).Mary

I can't seem to find a recipe for "shoog". Do you have a link?
Thanks in advance,

Oh, oh! I like this "ear worm" description. Those words describe exactly
what it would take a paragraph to do.
Yes, it set off the same ear worm for me -- chiminy -
I got the "Sound of Music" CD for my f-i-l when we last visited and it
played non-stop. I've had that ear worm since!

Dee DeeEar Worm: it's an apt description, is it not? Bores it's way into your
brain and you can't find the OFF switch for the music! LOLJill
