The exact same thing happened for me, I'm glad he got KOM this year as well.How come it's the bonking, crashes and cancer than wins us over?
I don't think I had any nails left when that TT last year was done, to watch his drift further and further down the GC was SO tragic, even though I don't think anyone thought he could have hanged on to it.He's skin and bones and muscles, and that's it.

Chicken is one of my favorite riders also. When you see him go across the line this year and last, he shows you just how much pain he has gone through.
Rasmussen's ride last year is probably the reason I started to pick up cycling.

Rasmussen is a great climber, maybe the best pure climber in the sport today. He knows how to suffer and it would seem that with practice he could time trial much better. He might be a threat for the g.c. at the Giro or Vuelta, especially the Giro. How cool would it be to see Raz battle it out with Cunego, Simoni, and the wily Savoldelli in the mountains of Italy?

Yeah unfortunally sponsor Rabobank doesn't care about the Giro....

Ras gets my vote - I like the guy. He lives for climbing and he lives to win the KoM competition.
Have to say that he has that look of a climber - obsessed.
They're in their own world, climbers. They entire focus is climbing and more climbing.Although apart from his great stage win, I was really impressed with how Ras stuck with Menchov and helped him during the Morzine stage.
As they crossed the line, Menchov gave Ras a huge pat on the back.
Great to see it.
