I need to get out more. I thought you meant people who work with computers.Then again, on that subject my evenings program of fun is attending the
UK Unix Users Group AGM, followed by the launch of the OpenPower project
by IBM at the London Planetarium. Free laser show and drinks though. -

The talk at the Planetarium was interesting. The new digital projection
system looks neat, but it is a shame to see that the old optical
projector has gone. I see that the old skyline silhouette has been
removed from the base of the dome, too.There wasn't much of the hard-sell from IBM either, I guess I missed
that by arriving late at the Planetarium. I wanted to catch all of
Andrew Findlay's presentation.Talking of entertament, my most unpleasant evening out this year was
spent in a crowded town-centre pub. Nowhere to sit, too loud to talk,
where's the pleasure in that? But for thousands of people each weekend,
that is entertainment.Mike
