  1. First off congrats to everyone on their losses and NSV's. It has been great reading about them all,
they are so encouraging. I don't like responding to every post congratulating though, so I prefer to
do it in one post when I start a new thread.

After jumping around for the past month, I have finally had a significant loss. For the past four
weeks, I have gained or lost small amounts.

    +1.8 -1.0 +0.2 THIS WEEK -4.2

When I bought cereal last, I got some Cheerios, I have found that I have good losses when I am
    eating Cheerios for breakfast.

I had pizza this week too, I planned for it though. Only had an apple for lunch that day so I could
splurge on the pizza that night and I had 3 slices. 18 pts worth of pizza, but it tasted so good and
fulfilled that craving and I am past it for a while and my daughters school benefited since it was a
fundraiser night at the pizza place.

Also had my annual physical and my doctor was thrilled that I was 2 lbs lower than I was a year ago
and told me to keep up the good work. I asked him about what my goal should be and he would not give
me a specific number of where I should be, he was being realistic and told me that he would like for
me to continue losing. He recommends for me to lose about 2 lbs a month, or about 25 lbs a year. He
said that is a safe and healthy weight loss and I could maintain and learn to live with it along the
way. I never thought I would hear that out of a doctor, especially with my numbers on the scale. He
is such a realistic and down to earth man though. I have been seeing him for about 20 years now and
he has never seen me thin and neither have I. He also assured me that other than my weight I am in
great health. Good BP (122/70), good strong heart, etc. Got the bloodwork done after the exam, so I
will call on those results next week and suspect that my cholesterol will be in the good range too.

A good friend of mine called me this morning and said she joined WW yesterday, I invited her along
to my meeting today, so we are going to start going on Saturday mornings together. It will be nice
to have a friend along on this journey. She was funny when we pulled up, she said that there were a
lot of people at WW that did not need to be there, I told her that maybe they were heavy at one time
and they have lost their weight, she had not thought about that. We went inside and I introduced her
to Sandy (one of the weighers) and who is very slim now, I introduced her to Sandy and asked Sandy's
weight loss, and my friend was amazed when Sandy told her that she had lost 138 lbs. My friend was
amazed and walked away saying, I want to look like her.

Soon to be in a new decade and moving on for the next one. Debbie

  2. Hi Debbie, and congrats on your whoosh, that's GREAT! And how fun for you and your friend to go to
WW together. 🙂 Hmm, Cheerios, what kind? Plain, honey nut? I bought the kind with strawberries in
it the last time I bought cereal and it was really yummy.

  3. Congrats on that loss. I mixed my cereals up but Cheerios are in the mix. But this week it will be
real oatmeal much of the time since I make a double batch which is about 6 days worth.

  6. Wow Deb, you've had a great month!!! Congrats on the super whoosh this past week, you are definitely
on the right track. I love what your dr. said, sounds like he is a super physician. I don't like the
nagging type, prefer those that are able to look at the big picture and add positive remarks. And
down anything in a years time is a step in the right direction.

How wonderful to have a ww partner now! I think this will only be an added benefit for both of you.
It's always much more enjoyable to have someone else to share our joys and trials with. I see you've
also set a mini-goal for yourself ... I like it! Very realistic goal with the holiday season in full
swing now, yet still looking at being DOWN. Wow - your strength amazes me!

You're making great progress. You prove that sticking with the program brings results. Maybe not
consistently. Maybe not when we want them. But over time, the weight does indeed come off. Those
    fluctuations can be maddening, though.

Everyone should have such an encouraging and supportive MD. You've got a keeper!

cholesterol will be in the good range too.

A good friend of mine called me this morning and said she joined WW
yesterday, I invited her along to my meeting today, so we are going to start
going on Saturday mornings together. It will be nice to have a friend along
on this journey. She was funny when we pulled up, she said that there were
a lot of people at WW that did not need to be there, I told her that maybe
they were heavy at one time and they have lost their weight, she had not
thought about that. We went inside and I introduced her to Sandy (one of
the weighers) and who is very slim now, I introduced her to Sandy and asked
Sandy's weight loss, and my friend was amazed when Sandy told her that she
had lost 138 lbs. My friend was amazed and walked away saying, I want to
    look like her.

Soon to be in a new decade and moving on for the next one.

After jumping around for the past month, I have finally had a significant loss. For the past four
weeks, I have gained or lost small amounts.

When I bought cereal last, I got some Cheerios, I have found that I have good losses when I am

I had pizza this week too, I planned for it though. Only had an apple for lunch that day so I
could splurge on the pizza that night and I had 3 slices. 18 pts worth of pizza, but it tasted so
good and fulfilled that craving and I am past it for a while and my daughters school benefited

  10. Just the original Cheerios in the yellow box. I do top them with about a
1/2 teaspoon of real sugar if I am wanting a little something sweet at the time.

  11. Thanks Joyce, I actually had set that goal when the NYNY challenge started, but I never joined the
challenge officially. I wanted a realistic goal and I really wanted to see the change on the scale
to the next decade. I look at my weight loss in those small increments, otherwise is it so
overwhelming with the amount of weight I need to lose. Thanks for your kind words of encouragement.
