A friend of mine bought one for his whife from Costco
,i'm not an expert but by looking at it it was entry level bike,he paid like $ 250 and it's even full suspension; is yours a hard tail ? ,the gearing components are from Shimano Tourney (basic Canadian Tire level).🙁

go down to sportcheck and check out there ironhorse. they have full suspension ones and hardtails. i just got a hardtail. its a shame u missed the sale. all through there stores everything was on sale, the ironhorse i bought is 500 without sale, got it for 350. its a nicer quality than that infinity

yes it reminds me of the Wally World type bike (NEXT) which use extreamly cheap parts. A guy I know at work bought that bike in full sus and regrets it. He doesn't ride it anymore and is trying to sell it for $80. For one who ever put the bike together had NO idea what they were doing at all. Brakes don't work correctly and shifting is so rough he said that he thought the chain broke. Also his front rim is bent and the front tire has a lot of wobble. He said it was one of the worst purchases he has ever made. When he brought it to his LBS they were going to charge him $80 to adjust and another $100 to switch out parts. He said forget it. What's the point? They told him the suspension on the bike was "fake" and that it really could not withstand much abuse.

For an entry level bike look at the Trek 820 (I have one). Same price but you get more bang for the buck. I've ridden it on dirt trails with no probs and everything is smooth. Its a good bike to start out with. If you want to get more serious later on then so be it, invest in a mid-level/high end mountain bike if u wish.

My friend has a cool Specialized 04 P.2 he just bought. Kinda like a cross-over BMX/Mountain since he's into doing extream stunts and the such. He use to ride a Hardrock PRO Disc and I might just buy it off him for cheap. He said the thing is built like a rock and served him well so...

Remember you want a bike that will move when you do 🙂

If you're only 125 lbs, the weight of a bike is proportionally more of yours and your bike's total weight, therefore you will get more benefit from a lighter bike than a heavier rider.

Full suspension (and to a lesser extent forks) are really dead weight on a cheap mountain bike. They very often aren't even serviceable, which means the whole bike is finished when the suspension parts are.

Trek 820 is a good choice, although I would look for a simpler secondhand non suspension or at most hardtail mountain bike - better quality(lighter), for the same cash. See what there is on ebay, but beware - many "proper" mountain bikes live hard lives and may be damaged. I would personally look for a proper bike dealer who will find you something appropriate, as dealers know how to spot a lemon.
