Anyway, what were you doing watching tv that time during the day. I never thought I'd be
rumbled ....I had a days leave, at home waiting for Telewest engineers, TV on in the background. The engineers
turned up and couldn't find the 30mm pipe that sticks up, normally somewhere near the boundary
fence/wall and left saying the other gang who deal with that side of things will be along. I thought
thats it, I'll get a call soon asking to make another appointment. In fact the other gang turned up,
dug around a bit, found the pipe, cleared the rubbish out of it and put a temporary cap on it. The
installers came back, did their bit and I caught some highlights and interviews of todays TdF TT.
Looking forward to the next couple of weeks :-)btw, I was going to call in to "the wright stuff" as I had a fair idea of what happens with "number
ones" , but the answer you gave ... this is what happens during a race ? I thought most riders would
be able to go that length of time without a need to go ?davep

I just copied something I read off Google Groups ... sounded believable, but I just thought it was
funny ... the #1's are true the #2 are journalists stuff ... mostly they Wright it .. 😉Impressed you saw it, and figured me out though 😉
I sent this to them ..

I just read this on the internet ..."I know that sometimes riders will drop back to the team car and [censored] into a towel held out of the
team car by the mechanic. I think this method is available only to team leaders who are actually
leading the race like Lance."Nick

I vaguely remember a gruesome story about a nasty bout of diarrhoea suffered by Greg Lemond during a
Tour in the 80s.So determined was Mr L to win the race that the concept of stopping to relieve himself was simply
alien to him. So he "didn't stop" to relieve himself. The result, as I recall, was most unpleasant for all the other riders (who were, presumably,
behind him).F A
