Realistically:

Germany: Ullrich, maybe. Kloden can follow, but not lead
France: No Serious contender for the top 10
Belgium: No Serious contender
USA: Armstrong, Leipheimer
Italy: Basso
Spain: Mancebo, Mayo, Heras
Kazakstan: Vino

If Botero avoids blowing a stage, he's got a chance at a top 5 finish. The
rest are just fighting to make the top 10.

Maybe you could include Cunego. But that's a big maybe, I think. In a

If you are going to give Vino to Russia, then I would say Armstrong is
Spain's best chance at the yellow jersey. Might as well give Axel to
Germany too.

There must be at least 10 riders with UCI licenses who haven't been
listed yet...

As an aside, why do people keep mentioning Cadel Evans in contexts such
as this? The guy can't even ride without training wheels and you want
him to win the biggest bike race in the world? Every time the guy gets
on his bike there is a 5% chance he will crash - what are the odds of
him even finishing the Tour? Clearly he has a motor in him, but that's
not enough. This is why Telekom left him home last year - no point in
having him crash the whole team in the TTT.

The guy breaks his collarbone about every twenty seconds. For a guy who
raced in the dirt, I'm surprised that he didn't learn to crash so he didn't
tear himself up so much.
