Surprisingly good results, I tried out some of the ones on my site that
are done with hugin and required a fair amount of manual intervention to
get right.

It does say that most features are disabled after so many days though.

Autostitch is an excellent alternative:
http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html which is
currently free (even if the demo does expire after a while!)

I have generated all the panoramas on my website using Autostitch:
