It's speed and workflow that matters, at least to smart shops who are busy. Small units suitable for bike parts are available for less than $500, and they'd pay for themselves quickly.

Hey, thanks for the ref! It's called a "sonicator," but they don't seem to have a website?? I'll have to contact some school's lab...google seems to pull up only school labs and ebay folks....
