  1. In case you missed it.. Cycling Central just read out your email about the SS segment on last
    week's show.

    You're (more) famous!

um, yeah.....see my mildly miffed thread on aus.bicycle concerning that!!!!

BTW, my partner in crime, bikesoiler, was wondering where you were this lovely Sundy arvo, ie: spinning in the hills.....missed out on some fabulous singletrack. :p

I want at least a beer as a suitable apology from SBS management, failing that a apol via the cyclingcentral forum.......waiting waiting...😠

  4. I also had an email read out in the third show and missed it (under my real name which I won't do again, cause all my mates baqged me for the next week).

I've missed two shows bacause of the stupid time it's on. I wish they'd repeat it during the week. And while it's great there is a show I hope they decide to make it longer. Half an hour isn't enough.

But I suppose the SBS (Soccer Before Sex) budget is pretty limited.

The buggers left me on the cutting room floor! Though mine was the far pair of hands typing. Talk
    about your contrived shot...

    yeah, I'm over it.
Who wants to be famous anyway, the thought of being hassled by tifosi doesn't really appeal to me. 😄

Nah, I'm sure I saw the back of your head in a few shots. And they left the weirdo who sits
    behind you...

Dave - who wonders whether CC generated any traffic for CN (and if you could tell)

I was down at the docklands photographing some famous road bike-riding dudes and dudettes...
    sorry guys!

  10. Hippy, you took the photos by 'Leo' on that page? I was standing on that bend near the gutter (on the road) and under the cherry picker TV camera.

All I can say is that in trying to keep my ugly head off tv I got a photo of myself watching McGee + McEwen powering out of a corner. 🙂

It was good to see all these guys so close up. Mcgee looked massive on the bike, Cooke had really broad shoulders watching him go down the straight and McEwen was smaller than I thought. Its amazing how he can compete so well with Cooke.

BTW, Did you see the guy in the crowd with the BMX stack helmet riding a black Surly fixed gear bike? Nice bike, would be pretty rare in Oz. (my sad bikespotting for the day 😉 ).

Nope, scroll r i g h t down to the bottom... I was at the other end of the field for the whole race,
only moving down to the stage for presentations.

    Fame! I wanna live forever...

Ooh, better be quiet.. don't want to prompt another Fred Nieman vs. cfsmtb music battle ;-)

I never picked McGee out of the bunch - I didn't know what colours he was wearing. I focused on
    McEwan, Cooke and Graeme Brown.

Nup, missed him. Other than the race, not much else to report I'm afraid.

hippy (Damn! I should go to bed! Work ain't gonna be pretty tomorrow..)
