Hi, am in the market for a new bike and my LBS has indicated that the Cervelo RS or the Felt Z5 would be the best choices based on my body measurements. I was hoping to upgrade from my old bike which was at the $1000.00 price point, aluminum frame to a $2000.00 Carbon bike. Was hoping their might be some opinions out there as these are both over $2000.00. Thanks in advance and due to winter approaching not sure I will be able to test ride many bikes till spring

This is about the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. Does the amount of luck you get change if Mars and Venus are in opposition? What about if you wear foil on your head and sleep under a pyramid? I have the same problem (my torso is short, relative to my arm length), so I'm definitely more comfortable on this type of frame. I recently had a similar post too (lookin for pros/cons on the Cervelo RS vs. Specialized Roubaix).
Definitely test ride them! I rode the Giant Defy, Scott CR1, Cannondale Synapse, Specialized Roubaix, and the Cervelo RS. Honestly, all of these frames felt pretty comfortable to me (and with a full fit, I have no doubt they could all be made to fit well). However, there was a huge difference in the stiffness/responsiveness ... and that's what drove my decision.
I don't have a good local FELT dealer, so I can't speak to that one, Scott

I recently looked at those and the Trek Madone 4.6 and chose the Madone. I have 300 miles on it in just over 3 weeks and i'm very pleased.

I personally prefer cervelo, well I guess it the only bike that best fits me... after taking the retul bike fitting from primo cycles
