Acute exposure to 930 MHz CW electromagnetic radiation in
vitro affects reactive oxygen species level in rat
    lymphocytes treated by iron ions.

    Zmyslony M, Politanski P, Rajkowska E, Szymczak W, Jajte J.

Physical Hazards Department, Nofer Institute of Occupational
    Medicine, Lodz, Poland.

The aim of this study was to test the hypothesis that the
930 MHz continuous wave (CW) electromagnetic field, which is
the carrier of signals emitted by cellular phones, affects
the reactive oxygen species (ROS) level in living cells. Rat
lymphocytes were used in the experiments. A portion of the
lymphocytes was treated with iron ions to induce oxidative
processes. Exposures to electromagnetic radiation (power
    density 5 W/m(2), theoretical calculated SAR = 1.5 W/kg)
were performed within a GTEM cell. Intracellular ROS were
measured by the fluorescent probe dichlorofluorescin
diacetate (DCF-DA). The results show that acute (5 and 15
min) exposure does not affect the number of produced ROS.
If, however, FeCl(2) with final concentration 10 microg/ml
was added to the lymphocyte suspensions to stimulate ROS
production, after both durations of exposure, the magnitude
of fluorescence (ROS level during the experiment) was
significantly greater in the exposed lymphocytes. The
character of the changes in the number of free radicals
observed in our experiments was qualitatively compatible
with the theoretical prediction from the model of
electromagnetic radiation effect on radical pairs.

Exposure at what range, using what sort of load or antenna?
A mistuned antenna would spatter harmonics all over the
place particularly when using such high output as 5W/m(2)
Why not make the test equitable and use an output that
equates to the output of a cell phone?

Enough microwave energy will cook anything. It tells me as
about much as putting one those rats into my microwave would
tell me. Not good for the rat.

How does it affect humans when applied via a cell phone? It
doesn't give a clue in that regard.

You don't come across as having any religious leanings, but
for your information, Jesus wasn't a vegetarian.

    Read:

    Matthew 9:10, Mark 2:15, Luke 7:37, John 21:5

all of which indicate quite plainly that Jesus ate and
    approved of meat.

I suppose that the "loaves & fishes", was really a
mistranslation, it was meant to be "loaves & some sort of
    vegetable"?

    Why keep posting this link?

    Regards

    David

  4. What all of this means is not to pour rusty water over your
head if you have open wounds when using a cell phone, or
better still wear your aluminum foil hat instead of the

    Hi Beav

Maybe the people who tell us those off-shore telemarketing
centres are in India are part of a giant conspiracy; the
real call-centres are down in the sewers using cell-phones,
managed by "brain", a giant albino rat.

I recall seeing a science experiment on BBC Tomorrow's
World. They put an egg in between two cell phones with an
active connection, i.e., transmitting. At the end of the
half hour programme the egg was cooked, which, removing the
setting up explanation, and going through the maths and
theory which showed that this was what you would expect to
happen, was less than 25 mins cooking time.
