Cell Bikes ??

I haven't bought one of these bikes, but I've bought from Cell before with no problems. As far as those bikes go though, they seem to offer phenomenal value. Hopefully someone here can post a review or some experience.

The Cell victor was reviewed in Bicycling australia a few issues back. I have it as a JPG but it is too big to post here. You can e-mail [email hidden] to get a copy.

As mentioned in a prevous post, Bicycling Australia's review of the CELL Victor is on our website on the blog and help centre sections.

I thought the review in Bicycling Australia was extremely harsh. Just goes to show what they'll say when you don't buy large advertising space in the magaine.
On the other hand they gave a fair evaluation of the top of the line Diamond back which appearance wise seems to be the exact same frame.
From what I remember the actual fact about the frame(s) is that they were very stiff, so hence not really a social cruiser bike but given the steep geometry might make a good crit racer.

In my mind we need more local suppliers providing "stock" bikes at great prices like Cell. I believe you shouldn't race what you can't afford to crash. A Colagno my have heaps of class and great paint, but crashes just as poorly as a bike 1/4 its price that had the same components.

If a local shop were offering bikes of this value in Melbourne (and the geometry suited me) then I'd likely get one.

Go ride one, and if it fits you and you feel good riding it, buy it. The frames have a warrenty and the parts standard back up, so all you miss is the Ferrari factor.
