Yes, you are lucky you live in Canada. The US is so wrapped up in politics of everything that its
citizens pay. We are involved in everything and.....well, I don't want to get into it. If it wasn't
so damn cold in Canada, I would think of moving up there. It is a big cold however. Curt

I really like Canal Evasion. On the days when OLN canada showed the coverage at 10:30, I taped the
morning coverage in french,watch it then later taped OLN on another tape so we could have all the
OLN stages. And of course, to have Phil and Paul!

I was tempted to watch CBS today just to snicker and sneer at it, but I forgot what time it was on,
so I missed it.

Why was the picture so much sharper? Compression on the OLN feed? It wasn't just my TV.

my 80 yr old father has been hospitalized for 9 weeks and we've been taping the tour on OLN and

Today we broke down and went to the hospital to watch the CBS coverage with him so we could have a

It sucked--even HE thought it was pointless and it's the most exciting part of his day.

No wonder Americans don't understand or care about cycling--the coverage available on mainstream
television is watered down, uninformative and uninspiring.

The good news is that OLN has had very high ratings for the Tour--that's encouraging!

The only part good about the CBS broadcast is the picture quality is better than the OLN broadcast.
Much sharper with more contrast.
