Some of you have been following my cargo bike venture.
Moving right along, I've now published pricing, and I'm taking
reservations for bikes in the first shipment, at a heavily discounted
price.

Keep spruiking away ... never know when you'll pique someone's interest.
Is that your cargo bike image posted on Melb Cyclist? Love the way it's framed up nicely with the pallet outside the fruit shop, looks like it's a UBER cargo bike. 🙂

I'll try not to pimp too hard, but I'm excited about these cargo bikes
and want to spread the word.

Yea verily, it is the very same.
I reckon if we try, we could get a few more plugs in for our sites...

Yes. Good idea.
UPDATE!
I've just had confirmation from my supplier that they can make the
last spec change I wanted - the bikes will now have a front V-brake
instead of the caliper brake.
That means that I'm ready to place an order.
If you want to take advantage of the pre-order discount, you have
until this Friday, March 7, to make your reservation (I'll be
requesting deposits soon after).
That's $995, delivered to your door (as long as your door is in the
general Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide area; may be a
freight surcharge elsewhere).
After that, regular price will be $1195 delivered. That's still a
really good price for what you're getting, and a hell of a lot cheaper
than anything else comparable.

It's got everything! I really *really* wish I had a need for one of
these.
You need to add something to your FAQ:
How do I justify buying one of these if I only get a bag of groceries
at a time?
Hopefully I can come up with a reason by the end of this week 🙂

might be a special on loo paper. Be prepared!"

Actually, given the shopping I did tonight. Only just got the bulky
things in my backpack - that backpack has amazed me before (fitting
entire buckets!), but had I also needed to buy a 10KG bag of kitty
litter along with the icecream, lettuce, cat food and TP...
Why is it that people waiting in the carpark look at me strange? Do
they not know how to give their backpacks tardis-like qualities?

If you want to be looked at strange in the carpark, you should try
loading your shopping into a bike that has wheelbarrow-like qualities.
People really don't get it... ;-)

Bump...
Last day for the $995 cargo bike.
For those not following, it's a front-loading long-wheelbase cargo
bike. It has a Sturmey-Archer 8-speed hub with drum brake, a Shimano
Nexus front dynamo hub and light, guards, canopies, the works.
Harnesses for two kids in the cargo bucket, or room for about a
trolley-load of shopping... which may or may not equate to four slabs.
Reserve today, pay a deposit next week, get your cargo bike next
month.

Still working on the other half ... here's hoping. 🙂
