  1. CARBS are NOT BAD. It seems everyone on this newsgroup thinks carbs
are some sort of evil thing. They are NOT. I have a whole cabinet
full of carbs in my garage and I like them. They have won me many
races, and I even have a gold plated Holley double pumper, with a
oversized venturi, high performance ports, and vacuum operated
injection booster. It's valued at over $10,000. Now you tell me why
that's bad. I suppose you people are all into these fuel injection
cars, but if you want POWER, you got to use carbs. Maybe you all need
to take classes in mechanics and learn something about high
performance engines before you cut down carbs. By the way, there
really is no such thing as a low carb. There are the low-boy models,
which has a slightly smaller fuel bowl and shorter power valve shaft,
but they are not really low, they just allow more space to mount a
turbo booster and air injection system. If you dont like carbs the way
they come from the factory, get them chromed. A couple hundred bucks
and they will shine like a mirror and make you want more of them, and
like myself, hang them on the living room wall beneath my neon
Budweiser sign and my Hot Rod Girls calendar.

  2. Hey troll,

I don't come around your car newsgroup and post that people's
carboraters are making them fat. Please show the same courtesy to us.

It's only considered funny if the majority of your audience agrees with
    you.

I got a smile out of it. It's not as if he posts repeatedly on the
group! Lighten up -- perhaps by cutting back on your carbs!

Yes, and apparently you're not eating too many of them, which is
    precisely the point here.

It's a funny astonishment how many people didn't read the OP's comments.

He was talking about carburetors. And it was funny...

    I noted it... :-)
Some people just read the subject, and skip the post.

    I also found it amusing.

    Cheers!

Yes, I'm aware of that. I assumed the deadpan humor of my response would
be obvious enough not to need a smiley. My bad.
