No thanks, it will just end of with a fuzzy cover on it, then the lid will fall and shatter the c/f, then I'll get c/f splinters in my rump and will have to go to the Emergency Room at the local hospital and it will be embarassing to explain how it was partly my wife's fault for using the fuzzy cover and partly my fault for not putting the seat back down and for not checking the seat in the dark when I had to use it at 3am and didn't bother to turn the lights on when I had to sit instead of stand. No, that would just be too much bother. I think I'll stay with the wooden seat and telling the wife that the fuzzy cover liner is not compatible with the wood sealer on the seat.
Not to mention the fact that that c/f seat probably costs 10 times what my current car cost to buy.
Okay, I'm done (literally and philosophically). Flush twice and turn out the lights when you're done please, thank you,and good night. -
These are quite nice! I had the standard wooden toilet seat (deore) fitted to My Mountain Bike and although I had some issues with mounting the carb fibre seat (XTR) to the existing seat stem I have no regrets and fewer splinters 🙂

I have one on order. I went all the way and got the Ti hinges.
I can't help thinkng about the added shock and vibration absorption. I'll be able to ride all morning long without a thought of fatigue.

If I had the spare cash burnin' a hole in my pocket, I would buy one. The coolness factor is very high in my opinion. -
Will it make you go faster 😄

I'm waiting for the 2004 model which will feature full carbon monoblock construction. Even the hinges will be carbon which saves 20 grams per hinge compared the the Ti hinged model. That should reduce the rotational weight and resistance when flipping the seat up.

I usually avoid seats with cutouts, but in this case it would certainly make it more comfortable.

For the traditionalist:
Why have a crapper when you could have a genuine Crapper?
